Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken liver (s)
  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 2 egg (s), hard-boiled
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, (hot as rose)
  • Marjoram, (rubbed)
  • Garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Fry the liver in a little oil, set aside.
  2. Brown the diced onions in the frying fat.
  3. Put the liver with half of the browned onions, the eggs and initially about 2 tablespoons of oil in a mixer / blender / food processor and mix to a thick cream; Pour in a little more oil if necessary.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, marjoram, paprika and garlic salt and mix in the 2nd half of the onions.
  5. Let it steep in the refrigerator
  6. With us, just like hummus, it is a typical Shabbat evening dish.
  7. Tastes good with flatbread, but also on toasted ciabatta.
