Beat the margarine with 250 g sugar, vanilla sugar, 7 tablespoons apricot juice and the eggs until frothy. Mix flour with baking powder and stir in. Divide the dough in two. Mix one half with the cocoa, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of apricot juice.
Grease a wreath cake pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the light dough. Drain the canned apricots and place them on the dough with the curvature facing up.
Carefully spread the dark dough on the apricots. The fruits must be covered with batter!
Bake at 175 degrees (convection) for about 30 minutes. Before removing, make the cooking test with a wooden stick.
If you topple the cake after it has cooled down, the apricots are in the top of the wreath!
