Ingredients

  • 4 cl single malt whiskey, not peaty
  • 2 cl orange juice, freshly squeezed or not-from-concentrate
  • 2 cl grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed or not-from-concentrate
  • 1 cl lime juice, freshly squeezed or not-from-concentrate
  • 1 cl almond syrup
  • 1 cl sugar syrup
  • 1 piece (s) orange peel, organic

For decoration:

  • 1 pair sour cherries with a stem
  • 1 orange zest, organic

Instructions

  1. First measure the orange juice, grapefruit juice and lime juice exactly with a jigger or shot glass and pour it into the shaker. Then add the almond syrup and the sugar syrup, the non-peaty whiskey and shake for about six ice cubes for 20 seconds. Pour into the old fashioned glass on ice. Squeeze a piece of organic orange peel over the glass and moisten the edge of the glass with it.
  2. Use a sour cherry with a stem or an organic orange zest as decoration.
  3. Attention: as with every cocktail, try the shaker to see whether the individual balance between acidity and sweetness is right. If not, adjust with lime juice (= acid) or sugar syrup (= sweetness). Beware of too much almond syrup.
