Marinade for Kefir Kebab with Onions and Herbs

I propose a very simple and super tasty pork kebab marinade according to my mother-in-law’s recipe. Meat in kefir marinade with onions, cilantro and basil turns out to be insanely tender, juicy and aromatic.

Ingredients

  • Pork (neck or tenderloin) – 1.5 kg
  • Kefir – 500ml
  • Mayonnaise – 100 g
  • Bulb onions – 3 pcs.
  • Cilantro – 1 bunch
  • Fresh basil – 2 sprigs
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Cut the pork into small pieces.
  2. Pour kefir over the meat, and mayonnaise.
  3. Send one onion grated on a fine grater there.
  4. Add chopped herbs to the marinade.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add two onions, cut into rings.
  7. Mix everything thoroughly. Place pork in kefir marinade with onions and herbs in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. Then string the meat on skewers and cook pork kebab on the grill.
