Ingredients

  • 3 large onion (s), red
  • 200 ml port wine
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 25 ml balsamic vinegar, dark
  • 2 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • some pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into thin slices. Mix the remaining ingredients together well and leave the onions and garlic to marinate for a good two hours. Then put the entire mixture in a pan and reduce over medium heat until a syrupy consistency is achieved.
  2. Is perfect for hamburgers. Sauces are then actually no longer necessary. Can also be wonderfully produced in larger quantities and frozen in advance.
