Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan - remove from the heat and melt the chocolate + nougat in the warm butter, stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. Chop walnuts and cut the marshmallow into small pieces (sticks pretty much, but works if you repeatedly rinse the knife with hot water).
  3. Mix the eggs with the sugar in a large bowl with a mixing spoon (with a hand mixer you would only bring air into the dough, you don`t necessarily want that with brownies).
  4. Mix the flour and salt in another bowl, add to the eggs and stir in. Add the butter-nougat-chocolate mix and finally fold in the chopped walnuts and chopped marshmallows.
  5. Preheat the oven to 160 °, pour the dough into a brownie tin (23x23cm) and bake for 30 minutes. The marshmallows rise quite a bit from the heat, but when they cool down the surface becomes level again. A cooking test does not have to be made, the brownies should be moist on the inside, so dough sticks to the wooden stick anyway.
  6. Let the brownies cool for a few minutes, then carefully loosen the edge - the marshmallows caramelize and are more difficult to loosen once the brownies have cooled down completely (but do not remove them from the mold yet!)
  7. After cooling down completely and cut 10 pieces.
