Ingredients

  • 400 g marzipan paste, finely diced
  • 600 ml milk
  • 250 ml amaretto
  • 75 ml liqueur, (Licor 43)

Instructions

  1. Dice the marzipan and place in a saucepan. Add milk and heat while stirring until the marzipan dissolves (the milk is usually quite warm by then). I`m still helping out with a hand blender. Let it cool down a bit and place a large, fine sieve over a large bowl or something similar and cover it with a tea towel. Slowly pour the mixture into the sieve and sift out the almond pieces while stirring. At the end I wring out the cloth to get as much of the milk as possible.
  2. Then I determine the volume of the marzipan milk with a measuring cup and usually get between 550 ml and 575 ml. Now slowly add the amaretto and Licor 43 (if significantly less marzipan milk is obtained, adjust the amount of alcohol accordingly). Pour the liqueur into clean glass bottles and store in the refrigerator.
