Ingredients

  • 1 ½ kg potato (s)
  • 250 g bacon, cut into cubes
  • 3 medium onion (s)
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1 dash milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cook them in water with a pinch of salt until cooked through. During this time, fry the bacon. Peel the onions, cut into large cubes and also fry until they turn brown.
  2. When the potatoes are done, drain the water. Add the sour cream to the potatoes and mash the potatoes and add milk if necessary until the desired consistency is achieved. Finally stir in a large handful of cheddar, onions and bacon and season the mashed potatoes with nutmeg and pepper.
  3. Serve the mashed potatoes sprinkled with cheddar cheese.
