Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes and cut into pieces of equal size. Cook in salted water for about 15 minutes, drain and let steam out.
  2. In the meantime, clean and wash the leek, cut the white and light green into thin rings. Steam together with the bacon in the heated oil.
  3. Warm the milk with the butter, gradually add to the potatoes (the mixture should not be too creamy) and coarsely mash them with the potato masher so that bits remain. Fold in the leek and bacon mixture, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  4. This goes well with fish fillet in mustard sauce, for example.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
