Instructions

  1. Rinse the matjes fillets under cold water if needed to remove excess salt. Peel the apple.
  2. Cut the matjes fillets, apple, and pickled cucumbers into small pieces. Combine in a bowl with the mayonnaise and sour cream. Mix well and season with freshly ground pepper to taste.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 12 hours (preferably overnight) before serving to allow flavors to meld.
