Jewish matzah – unleavened cakes made of flour and water, which are served instead of bread, and are also used to prepare various dishes. Traditionally, matzo is consumed during Passover.
Ingredients
Flour – 250 grams
Water – 100 ml
Directions
Preparing flour and water for the matzo.
Pour the required amount of sifted flour into a bowl. Pour in cool water. Knead the dough, lightly beat it with your hands, collect it in a lump.
Divide the dough into 3-4 parts, roll each part with a rolling pin into a thin thin layer, pierce the surface of the matzo with a fork. We repeat the whole process with the rest of the dough pieces.
We spread the matzo on foil and send it to the oven, preheated to 180-200 degrees. Matzo is ready when it becomes slightly ruddy and brittle.
