Ingredients

  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 chilli pepper (s), red (hot)
  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ turmeric, ground
  • 1 teaspoon curry, Indian, ground
  • 1 roll, stale
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 150 ml natural yoghurt (3.5%)
  • 50 g sour cream
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled salt

Instructions

  1. Peel onion and garlic and chop finely. Core and chop the chilli peppers. Soak the rolls in lukewarm water.
  2. Mix the minced meat with onion, garlic, chilli, cumin, turmeric, curry powder, salt and 1 egg. Squeeze out the rolls, add to the mixture and knead everything well. Season the minced meat to taste, add salt / spices if necessary.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
  4. Shape the minced meat into small balls and fry them in portions in a pan without fat, it takes a total of approx. 20 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, mix together the yoghurt, sour cream and egg yolk, season with salt.
  6. Heat the vegetable stock, place the fried meatballs in a baking dish, pour the stock over them and cook uncovered in the oven for about 10 minutes. Then pour the yoghurt marinade over the balls and bake in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  7. Rice goes well with it.
