Ingredients

  • 1 small onion (s), red
  • 3 stalks basil
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can tomato (850 ml)
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 sausages, fine, raw
  • 450 g spahetti
  • Salt water
  • 3 tablespoon parmesan, grated

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and chop finely. Wash the basil and shake dry. Pluck the leaves and finely chop the stems.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan. Fry the onion in it until golden brown. Fry the basil stalks briefly. Add the tomatoes and chop. Season with salt and pepper vigorously. Let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in another pan. Press the bratwurst mixture as dumplings out of the skin directly into the oil and fry for 5 - 6 minutes until golden brown, turning. Take out and pour off excess fat. Add tomato sauce and meatballs to the pan and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water according to the instructions on the package. Drain the pasta well. Stir the basil leaves into the sauce. Serve with spaghetti and parmesan.
