Meatballs in Sweet and Sour Sauce

Meatballs in sweet and sour sauce with pineapple and sweet pepper are a very tasty and satisfying dish that will not only diversify your menu, but also bring new colors and positive emotions into it.

Ingredients

  • Minced meat – 400 grams (beef)
  • Eggs – 2 Pieces
  • Breadcrumbs – 3-4 Tbsp. spoons
  • Onions – 1/2 Pieces
  • Ginger – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Spices – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Ground allspice – 1 Pinch
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Sugar – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Pineapple – 250 Grams (canned)
  • Water – 100 Milliliters
  • Soy sauce – 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Cornstarch – 2 Tbsp spoons
  • Carrots – 1 Piece
  • Sweet pepper – 1 Piece

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, and finely chopped onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix the minced meat well, form it into small balls with a diameter of about 3 cm, put on a baking sheet covered with parchment and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  4. In a small skillet or saucepan, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar and spices.
  5. Then add the starch, chopped ginger and simmer for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly, so that the sauce begins to thicken and become very aromatic. Then add finely chopped bell peppers, pineapple pieces and carrots to the pan. Stir, add a little water and simmer, covered for 7-10 minutes.
  6. Add the meatballs to the skillet. Stir and cook, covered, 10-12 minutes, until the meatballs are completely cooked.
  7. The meatballs in sweet and sour sauce are ready. Serve them hot,
