Meatballs in Tomato-Garlic Sauce

What can I say? This is sooo delicious. Delicate, juicy meatballs melt in your mouth. Yummy.

Ingredients

  • For the meatballs: M
  • Meat (pork or beef) – 500 g
  • Chickeneggs – 2-3 pcs.
  • Whitestale bread – 100 g
  • Milk- 100 g
  • Cheese- 100 g
  • Parsleyto taste Salt to taste
  • Pepperto taste.
  • Forthe tomato-garlic sauce:
  • Garlic- 2-3 cloves
  • Bulbonions – 2 pcs.
  • Tomatopaste – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetableoil – 4 tbsp
  • Water- 1 l Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Wash greens and chop finely. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Soak the dry white bread in milk. Put minced meat, eggs, pressed bread, cheese, finely chopped parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix everything well.
  2. Use wet hands to form meatballs no larger than a walnut.
  3. Wash and peel the onions. Peel the garlic. Chop everything finely. Preheat a deep and wide frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put onion and garlic in hot oil. Fry, stirring occasionally, over low heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Boil the kettle. Pour 1 liter of boiling water into a saucepan. Add salt and tomato paste. Mix well. Or you can use 1 liter of tomato juice. Pour the sauce over the fried onions and garlic. Let it boil. Once the sauce has boiled, place the meatballs in it. Cover and simmer the meatballs in the tomato sauce over low heat for about 40-50 minutes (until the sauce thickens).
  5. The meatballs in tomato-garlic sauce are ready. Serve with your favorite side dish.
