Millet Porridge with Cottage Cheese, Peanuts and Raisins Instructions

  1. We thoroughly rinse the millet several times in cold water until the water becomes clear. Pour water into a saucepan (it is better to use a thick-walled pan), bring water to a boil. Then put the millet in a saucepan with boiling water, add a small pinch of salt, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the millet for 10-15 minutes until tender. When the porridge begins to thicken, do not forget to stir it periodically.
  2. Grind dry cottage cheese through a sieve. If the curd is wet, you can simply knead it.
  3. Add sugar to the curd.
  4. Mix cottage cheese with sugar.

  5. The finished porridge turns out to be quite thick.
  6. Add cottage cheese with sugar to millet porridge.
  7. Stirring constantly, we continue to cook the porridge with cottage cheese over low heat for another 2 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat, cover with a lid, and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
  8. If the peanuts are raw, fry them for about 3-5 minutes in a pan until a pleasant aroma appears, then peel them. It will come off easily from roasted peanuts. Then grind the peanuts a little – this can be done with a rolling pin for rolling out the dough.
