Minced Meat Kebabs with Green Onions, on Skewers (in the Oven)

Minced pork kebabs are, in fact, ordinary cutlets baked in the oven. But serving such meat cutlets in the form of kebabs on a skewer in combination with green onions makes the dish festive. Green onions give the kebabs an amazing flavour and are also very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 600 g
  • Onions – 80 g (1 pcs.)
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Bread crumbs – 100 g
  • Green onions – 6 pcs. (40 g)
  • Fresh dill – 2 branches
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. You can cook minced meat yourself or buy ready-made meat.
    Peel the onions, rinse and dry the green onions and dill.
  2. Since the store stuffing is coarse, I chopped it again in a meat grinder, and also ground the onions. In a deep bowl, combine chopped onions, minced pork, egg and 3 tablespoon. tablespoons of bread crumbs.
  3. Add black pepper and salt. Stir the minced meat.
  4. Finely chop the dill greens with a knife and add to the minced meat, it adds a touch of freshness to the finished dish.
  5. Knead the minced meat well. If it’s runny, add more bread crumbs. Even balls should easily roll out of the minced meat.
  6. Shape the minced meat into balls the size of a large walnut.
    To prevent the meat from sticking to your hands, periodically moisten your hands with water.
  7. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs, thanks to this, the meat juice will linger in the kebab when baking, and the dish will be juicy.
  8. For green onions, cut off 4-5 cm of dense white stem, we use both this and the feathers.
  9. Turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.
    Put a meatball on a skewer, then a white onion stalk, roll one feather of an onion several times and also put it on a skewer.
  10. Repeat with three more balls and a bow on this skewer.
  11. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment and place the skewers and skewers there.
  12. Bake minced meat kebabs with green onions in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes. If the onions burn, cover the baking sheet with foil.
  13. A tasty, aromatic and satisfying dish is ready.
    Such an original presentation will be beneficial to highlight the dish even on a festive table.
  14. The meatballs are very juicy, with a slight dill aroma. Thanks to the fact that we baked them in the oven, the dish will be less greasy.
