Ingredients

  • 1 bottle vodka
  • 250 g mirabelle plums
  • 150 g suar, white
  • 10 g citric acid
  • a little vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the mirabelle plums, then core them, reserving 3-5 of the cores.
  2. Place the cored plums and reserved cores in a clean glass container.
  3. Pour the vodka over the plums, then add the sugar, citric acid, and a little vanilla sugar if desired.
  4. Seal the container and place in a cool, dark location for 6 weeks, shaking occasionally.
  5. After 6 weeks, strain the liqueur through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container.
  6. Filter the liqueur to clarify it, then pour into clean bottles.
  7. Let the liqueur ripen for 4 weeks in a cool, dark place before serving.
