Mojito Cocktail (Classic and Non-alcoholic)

Mojito Cocktail (Classic and Non-alcoholic) Instructions

  1. We take one lime, roll it on the table to make it easier to squeeze the juice out of it, and cut it in two.
  2. Cut the remaining two limes into circles. Select 2 mugs and cut them halfway down – I will use them to decorate the cocktail. Cut the rest of the lime circles into 2 pieces.

  3. We take 2 glasses, pour 2 teaspoons of cane sugar into them. If you don’t have it, you can replace it with a regular one. However, it is worth remembering that in addition to sweetness, cane sugar also gives a caramel flavour.
  4. Squeeze the juice of half a lime into each glass. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Otherwise, it can crunch unpleasantly on the teeth in the finished cocktail.
  5. We remove the ice from the polyethene mould and transfer it to the bag. Wrap the bag with a towel and place it on the work surface. Distribute the ice evenly inside the bag. Grind the ice with a meat hammer.
  6. Let’s go back to the lime juice and sugar glasses. Add 10-12 mint leaves to each of them. Also, add 6 pieces of lime to each glass.
  7. We pour crushed ice into glasses, it is advisable to do this not to the brim, so that later you can gently mix the cocktail.
Mojito Cocktail (Classic and Non-alcoholic) step 7

Add 50 ml of white rum to an alcoholic mojito (I recommend using Bacardi rum).
Stir the contents of the glass, trying to lift the lime juice with sugar from the bottom.
Put ice in glasses to the very top. We fill them with sparkling water.
  8. Decorate the Mojito cocktail with a sprig of mint and a slice of lime.

  9. Serve the mojito immediately after cooking.
