Ingredients

  • 1 large kohlrabi
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.5 ½ bunch chives
  • 3 teaspoons sesame seeds, white
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil, dark
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder, Korean (Gochugaru)
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Carefully roast the sesame seeds in a non-oiled pan. Peel the kohlrabi, cut into very fine strips, sprinkle evenly with salt and let stand in a sieve for about 20 minutes. Rinse the kohlrabi with cold water, squeeze it well or spin dry. Chop or grate the garlic clove very finely, cut the chives into short rolls.
  2. Make a dressing from the remaining ingredients. Add the dressing, garlic, sesame seeds and chives to the kohlrabi. Mix everything well and let it steep in the refrigerator for a few hours, or better overnight.
