Mushroom Rice

Rice with mushrooms is delicious. Simple, hearty, delicious food. And most importantly, the preparation does not take much time. Mushroom rice is an excellent side dish and an independent lean dish.

Ingredients

  • Rice – 2 cups
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Champignons – 300 g
  • Vegetable oil – 50 g
  • Provencal herbs – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Pepper – 1 pinch

Directions

  1. Products for mushroom rice in front of you.
  2. Peel carrots. Wash and grate on a coarse grater.
  3. Peel, wash and cut onion into cubes.
  4. Wash the champignons and cut into thin slices.
  5. Heat a frying pan. Pour in 50 g of vegetable oil. Fry vegetables in a skillet, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Then add the chopped mushrooms. Simmer everything together, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and add your favorite spices. Mix well.
  7. Boil the kettle. Pour rice on top, distributing it evenly over the entire area.
  8. Without stirring, pour boiling water directly from the kettle. Pour a lot of water, everything should be covered with 1 cm of water.
  9. Let it boil. Cover with a lid and simmer on the lowest heat for 20 minutes. Stir, add salt, if necessary. If the rice is damp, cook the mushroom rice for another 10 minutes under the lid.
  10. The mushroom rice is ready.
