Fresh mussels are baked in shells with garlic and parsley.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Fresh mussels – 2 kg
Butter – 180 g
Garlic (chopped) – 4-6 cloves
Fresh bread crumbs – 50 g
Fresh parsley (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
One lemon juice
Rye bread for serving (optional)
Directions
Scrape the mussels with a brush and rinse under cold running water. Remove damaged and already opened shells. Place the mussels in a saucepan, cover and cook over high heat for several minutes, until the shells open. Remove those shells that did not want to open.
Remove one part of the shell, and in the second leave the mussel meat, put in a heat-resistant form in one layer.
In a small saucepan, heat the butter, add chopped garlic, bread crumbs, parsley and lemon juice, mix well and sprinkle the mussels with this mixture.
Place the mussel dish under the preheated grill and cook until golden brown. Serve baked mussels with rye bread (optional).
