Ingredients

  • 2 cup / s sugar
  • 1 liter water
  • 2 tablespoon lavender flowers, dried

Instructions

  1. Bring the sugar to the boil with 1 liter of water while stirring, simmer on a mild heat for about 10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and a thin syrup has formed. Take off the heat, sprinkle in the lavender flowers and leave to stand in a cool place overnight.
  2. The next day, use a funnel to fill the syrup through a cheesecloth, sieve or a coffee or tea filter into sterilized bottles and close tightly.
  3. The syrup can be kept for approx. 3 months if stored in a cool and dark place.
  4. Lavender flowers are available in pharmacies, but they are very expensive there. You can get them cheaper in the herb house.
  5. To sterilize the bottles, you can simply put them in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 180 ° C after they have been washed out with hot water.
