Oat and Banana Waffles

Instructions

  1. First measure all the ingredients and prepare them (that is less stressful), puree the banana and mix with the oat milk and, if butter is used, cut it into pieces.
  2. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside. Beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar on the highest setting until foamy. Gradually add butter / margarine to the egg yolk mixture and stir briefly.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix the flour mixture with the banana-oat milk and stir constantly into the egg mixture until a smooth dough is formed. Finally fold in the egg white carefully and completely.
  4. Cut the apple into thin slices and set aside.
  5. Now bake the waffles normally in the waffle iron. Before closing the waffle iron, place 2 - 3 apple slices on the batter. Bake for 2 - 3 minutes and if possible do not stack them on top of each other, this will keep them crispy. If you like them soft: stack them!
  6. Sufficient for approx. 20 heart-shaped waffles, for approx. 10 American style waffles.
  7. Serving suggestion: Decorate with Nutella and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
