Oatmeal Cocoa Cookies (no Baked)

by Editorial Staff

Classic oatmeal cookies are baked, but today we will prepare an unusual version without using the oven! These oatmeal cookies have a rich chocolate flavor and are great for both hot and cold drinks!

Ingredients

  • Instant oat flakes – 150 g
  • Sugar – 150 g
  • Milk – 125 ml
  • Butter – 75 g
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Pour milk into a saucepan or ladle and add a lump of butter.
  2. Add sugar and cocoa powder here.
  3. Place the ladle on the stove over medium heat. Heat, stirring with a whisk until the mixture boils. After that, boil the resulting glaze for another 5 minutes and remove the dishes from the stove.
  4. Pour instant oatmeal into a bowl (those that need to be steamed, not boiled).
  5. Cover the flakes immediately with the hot chocolate icing.
  6. Stir and let cool. Stir again.
  7. Form a cookie on a piece of parchment. There are two options. Use a cooking ring to arrange the cookies of the same size. Or, with your hands soaked in water, divide the oatmeal into 6-7 parts, roll up balls from them and flatten them, thereby giving a flat shape to the products. I used the first option.
  8. Now send the cookies to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or to the freezer for 40 minutes to “set”.
  9. That’s all – the oatmeal cookies without baking are ready. Keep it in the refrigerator before serving.

Enjoy your meal!
