What a New Year without your favorite Olivier salad! And you can serve the salad in a new way, in a New Year’s way). Tasty, beautiful and festive! Ingredients
Potatoes – 5-7 pcs.
Carrots – 3-4 pcs.
Boiled sausage or ham – 200 g
Chicken eggs – 6 pcs.
Pickled cucumbers – 3 pcs.
Canned green peas (optional) – 200 g
Bulb onions (optional) – 1 pc.
Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp (to taste) + for salad dressing
Salt to taste
Ground pepper – to taste
Directions
Products for the New Year’s salad are in front of you. This time I did not add peas to the Olivier.
Wash the potatoes and carrots well and boil in the peel until soft – over low heat for 20-30 minutes. Willingness to check with a knife. Then cool the vegetables and peel.
Hard boil the eggs (8-10 minutes), cool in cold water and peel.
Cut the cucumbers into cubes.
Cut the potatoes into cubes.
Divide half of boiled eggs (3 pcs.) Into yolks and whites. Dice whole eggs and yolks.
Grate egg whites on a fine grater.
Cut half the carrots into cubes.
Grate the other half of the carrots on a medium grater.
Cut the boiled sausage (or ham) into cubes.
Peel the onion (if using) and chop finely.
Put all the ingredients of the salad (except for the grated proteins and carrots) in a bowl.
Season with pepper, salt, add mayonnaise.
Mix salad well.
We begin to spread the New Year’s salad “Olivier”. On a flat dish, form the silhouette of Santa Claus’s hat from the salad.
Close the middle with grated carrots. Decorate the cuff and pom-pom with squirrel.
