by Editorial Staff
I would like to offer you an option for a quick breakfast or snack, which is prepared in a few minutes. That is how much time it will take for you an omelet with chicken and cheese in pita bread. After all, we will cook it in the study of the oven.
Cook: 30 mins
Servings: 2
Ingredients
Thin lavash – 1 sheet
Eggs – 4 pcs.
Chicken fillet – 150 g
Hard cheese – 50 g
Green onions – 15 g
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
Prepare all the ingredients you need. We also need two baking tins (ramekins) with a diameter of 11 centimeters or two large cups/broths with a volume of 500 milliliters.
Chicken fillet in a saucepan, cover with water, add a little salt and bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, until tender. Cool the fillets in the broth. If you do this in the evening, then cooking an omelet in the morning will take no more than 10 minutes.
Break two eggs into two bowls. Season the eggs with salt and pepper, mix until smooth. Cut the cooled chicken fillet into small cubes and evenly place it in bowls of eggs.
Grate the cheese on a medium grater, divide in half and add bowls of eggs and chicken.
Rinse green onions, dry, and chop finely. Add half each onion to the egg, cheese, and chicken bowls. Mix everything well.
From the lavash, using a plate, cut out two circles with a diameter of about 20 cm. Place the lavash in molds (ramekins), pressing to the bottom and sides, forming waves. Pour the egg mass into tins with pita bread.
Place the tins in the microwave and cook the chicken omelet in pita bread in 3 minutes at 800W (or at the maximum power of your microwave). If the eggs are still not cooked, cook for 30 seconds to the desired state.
An omelet with chicken and cheese in pita bread is ready. Take the omelet from the molds onto the plates by the protruding edges of the pita bread and serve. Enjoy your meal!
