Ingredients

  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 250 ml malt beer
  • 150 ml broth, clear
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions, cut in half and cut into fine strips. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onions in it. Add tomato paste and sweat in it. Deglaze with the malt beer and the stock, simmer for about 15 minutes.
  2. Season the onion sauce with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Mix the starch with a little water and use it to thicken the sauce.
