Instructions

  1. A little tip at the beginning: For those who are really hungry, we recommend increasing the quantities a little or adding a delicious steak or fresh baguette, for example.
  2. Wash the zucchini, remove the ends and cut lengthways into 2 - 3 cm thick slices.
  3. Stir the chopped Mediterranean herbs, either fresh from the garden or frozen goods, into the olive oil and let them steep for a moment.
  4. Place the zucchini on a baking sheet or in a baking dish and brush with the herb oil. Season with salt, pepper and garlic. Wash and thinly slice tomatoes. Top the zucchini with it. Now add ham or tuna to your liking and spread the grated cheese on top. Quarter the onion, cut into fine strips and sprinkle over them.
  5. Bake at 200 ° C - 220 ° C (top and bottom heat) for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mozzarella and Gouda can also be replaced with feta or other cheeses.

Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
