Orange Almond Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 200 g
  • Almond flour – 400 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Oranges – 2 pcs.
  • Leavening agent – 1 teaspoon.
  • Orange liquor – 1 tablespoon.

Directions

  1. Cover the oranges with water, put them on the heat, and cook for 25 minutes after boiling.
  2. Pour out the water, then pour in the cold water again and boil for another 25 minutes.
  3. Сut the oranges into pieces and mash them.
  4. Add the almond flour, leavening agent,  and liquor to the mashed oranges and mix everything.
  5. Whisk the egg yolks into a fluffy foam for 10 minutes. Whisk the egg whites with the sugar separately.
  6. Add the yolks to the mass, then the whites, and mix everything.
  7. Put the batter into a mold greased with some butter and bake it in the oven preheated up to 180 degrees for an hour. If desired, you can decorate your baked cake with powdered sugar and mint leaves.
