Orange and Kiwi Fruit Spread

Ingredients

5 kiwi (s), very ripe
5 orange (s), very ripe
3 packs vanilla sugar
5 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

Peel the kiwi and cut into small cubes. Put the cubes in a small saucepan. Peel the oranges generously with a knife so that the orange flesh is visible. Cut out the fillet pieces without the inner skin between the orange segments. Catch the juice and fillets in a plate and pour everything into the pot. Squeeze the rest of the orange body well over the pot to get all of the juice.
Bring the fruits to a simmer over a medium flame and mix briefly with the hand blender after 4 - 5 minutes. Do not mix the fruits completely, so that small pieces remain in them. Be careful when pureeing, as there is a risk of burns from hot splashes.
Add the vanilla sugar and sugar, stir well and let simmer for 8-10 minutes.

Fill to the edge and close immediately. Let the fruit spread cool down.
The amount of ingredients makes about a large glass of spread. It tastes extremely delicious on a croissant with Nutella.
