Ingredients

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 200 g suar
  • 15 g vanilla suar
  • 300 grams flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 piece (s) orange (s), organic
  • 5 tablespoon Cointreau
  • 100 g powdered suar

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar with a mixer or food processor for 2 minutes to a creamy mass. Wash the orange with hot water, dry it and use a grater to scrape off the orange completely and mix this with the flour, baking powder and salt and add to the egg mixture. Add 4 tablespoons of Cointreau and mix for another 2 minutes to form a smooth dough.
  2. Brush the springform pan with oil and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Pour in the cake batter and bake in the oven preheated to 175 ° C (top / bottom heat) on the lower rail for approx. 40 - 45 minutes.
  3. For the glaze, squeeze the orange. Mix 1 tablespoon of orange juice with 1 tablespoon of Cointreau and add enough powdered sugar to make a thick mixture. Cover the cooled cake with the orange Cointreau glaze.
