Ingredients

  • 12 schnitzel (pork, turkey or lamb)
  • 250 g cheese (Gouda, Emmentaler, etc.), rated
  • 500 g mushrooms, cut, fresh or canned
  • 5 thick onion (s)
  • 3 cups sweet cream
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 packs powdered sauce for hunter sauce
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the meat well and place it side by side in a buttered casserole dish or a roast goose, cover with the cheese and spread the mushrooms over it.
  2. Cut the onions into cubes and fry them. Stir in the cream, sour cream and the hunter`s sauce and pour over the meat, cheese and mushrooms. Powder over with curry and cover and leave to rest for 24 hours in a cool place.
  3. On the day of the invitation, cook in a preheated oven (200 ° C) for 90 minutes without a lid. This goes well with spaetzle / noodles and green or mixed salad. Please use a spatula or something similar to remove the schnitzel, as the meat will be very tender and tender!
  4. The dish should be prepared at least 24 hours in advance and then only needs to be pushed into the oven. It is therefore well suited for a large group of guests! Also tastes great in a family circle!
