Sometimes you really want just juicy and aromatic meat, while there is no time or opportunity to go out of town for a barbecue. Oven steaks, the recipe for which I am giving you, is a great alternative.
Cook: 1 hour
Servings: 4-5
Ingredients
Beef steaks – 4-6 pieces
Salt / Pepper – To taste
Butter – 8 Art. spoons
Onions – 1 Piece (chopped)
Garlic – 1 Clove (chopped)
Fresh thyme – 1 teaspoon (chopped)
Parsley – 1
Lemon zest – 1 Tbsp. spoon (squeeze the juice out of this lemon)
Internal Thermo – Pieces
Salt – 2 Glasses
Directions
Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
In the meantime, make a flavored oil by combining all the ingredients together.
Shape the butter and put it in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven. Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of foil and pour 2 cups of salt on it, spreading it in an even layer along the bottom. Place the steaks on the grill rack and place them on top of the salt, making sure that the salt does not touch the steaks.
Cook for 2-4 minutes, then turn the steaks over and fry for another 2-4 minutes. Continue browning for 2-4 minutes on both sides until the meat is 125 degrees as indicated by the internal thermo. When the thermo reaches 140, the steaks should be well done.
