Ingredients

  • 100 g oatmeal
  • 150 ml plant milk (plant drink) (rice-coconut milk), e.g. health food store
  • some cranberries, dried
  • 0.5 ½ apple
  • some walnuts
  • possibly honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Put the oatmeal in a bowl or box suitable for transport.
  2. Pour the rice coconut milk over it. The amount can be varied as required, the milk should cover most of the oatmeal. If necessary, simply pour in a sip until it has the desired consistency.
  3. Wash the apple, cut in half and remove the core. Cut half of the apple into small pieces and add to the oat flakes.
  4. Add some dried cranberries and crumbled walnuts if you like.
  5. If you want, you can sweeten your overnight oats with 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup, etc. However, the rice and coconut milk already has a slightly sweet taste.
  6. Then stir everything thoroughly once and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  7. Overnight oats with fine oat flakes can also be consumed after a few minutes, as the fine flakes quickly soak up the milk. The longer they are left, the more mushy the consistency becomes. Overnight soaking is recommended for coarse oatmeal.
