Ingredients

  • 8 g can (s) tomato (s) each 00
  • 12 onion (s)
  • 16 clove garlic
  • 10 teaspoon oregano
  • 8 teaspoon thyme
  • 4 teaspoons basil, dried
  • 8 bay leaves
  • 12 clove (s)
  • 4 tablespoon honey
  • 8 tablespoon vegetable stock powder, instant
  • 800 g feta cheese
  • 500 g cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and garlic cloves. Then chop and fry in hot olive oil over not too high a heat. Mash or chop the canned tomatoes and add. Add all the other ingredients except for the cream and feta cheese - don`t be afraid of the cloves, the soup doesn`t taste like it, but they give it the ultimate kick! Cook for at least 2 hours over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Shortly before consumption, the cream and the diced feta cheese are added and only then season with salt and pepper as required.
  3. Turkish flatbread or ciabatta tastes very good with the soup.
  4. Tip: The soup can be cooked very well the day before the party, then it can also be steeped. It does not need refrigeration - cream and feta cheese are only added after reheating.
