Ingredients

  • 500 g asparaus
  • 150 g penne
  • 60 g ham
  • 2 spring onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 tomato (s)
  • 100 g cream cheese, with 5% fat
  • salt and pepper
  • Herbs Provence
  • possibly chili powder
  • olive oil
  • some sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Peel the asparagus, cut into 3-4 cm pieces and boil in water with a little sugar. When the asparagus is done, skim it off and save some of the asparagus water.
  3. In the meantime, cut the ham, spring onions and garlic and fry in olive oil. Also cut the tomatoes into small pieces and add them. Next, add the cream cheese to the vegetables and dilute the whole thing with a little asparagus water. Season to taste with salt, pepper and Provence herbs. If you like it a little hotter, you can add chili powder.
  4. At the end, mix in the cooked asparagus pieces and heat them again briefly. Serve the asparagus with the pasta.
  5. Jacket potatoes or rice also go well with it.
