Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 25 slices bacon, thinly sliced
  • 4 medium potato (s)
  • 4 slices cheese, e.g. Gouda
  • 2 onions)
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 1 small Glass peppers (Pimiento del piquillo), alternatively blanched peppers
  • 1 roll, stale
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Fry the finely chopped onions in oil, set aside. In the same pan, fry the thinly sliced potatoes over a low heat, making sure that they are only lightly brown. Salt. When they`re almost done, add half of the onions.
  2. Whisk the eggs, add the contents of the pan and stir.
  3. Mix the minced meat with salt, pepper, an egg, the soaked roll, mustard, marjoram, paprika powder and the other half of the fried onion. To taste.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C top and bottom heat.
  5. Line a large loaf pan with the bacon slices, leaving it overhanging so that the top can be covered with the bacon afterwards. Add the minced meat and press down well, spread the Pimiento del piquillo on top, cover with the cheese slices and finally top with the potato and egg mixture. Cover with the excess bacon.
  6. Put in the oven for about 30 minutes. The top should be nice and brown, but not burned.
