Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For covering:

  • 3 egg (s)
  • 100 g bacon, or breakfast bacon
  • 750 g pear (s), ripe
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • 25 g cornstarch
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. For the shortcrust pastry, knead the ingredients at room temperature to form a smooth ball and chill for about 30 minutes.
  2. Cut the bacon into thin strips and wash, peel and slice the pears.
  3. Mix the processed cheese with the cornstarch and the remaining eggs. Season to taste with salt, pepper and a little nutmeg.
  4. Line the greased springform or tart form (diameter approx. 28 cm) with the rolled out dough and pull it up a little at the edge. Prick the bottom several times with a fork.
  5. Lay the pear wedges and the bacon on the bottom and pour the cheese and egg mixture over them.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm or cold.
  8. This goes well with lamb`s lettuce and cranberries.
