Ingredients

  • 250 g pearl barley
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 garlic
  • 1 point hack substitute, alternatively soy slices etc., approx. 80 g
  • some tomato paste
  • 2 bell pepper (s)
  • 2 tomato (s)
  • 1 can corn, approx. 330 g
  • 1 can tomatoes, chunky, approx. 400 g
  • water
  • Vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Chilli powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the pearl barley according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Peel the onion and garlic, cut into small pieces and fry in a pan in a little oil. Add the mince substitute or soy strips and tomato paste.
  3. Wash and clean the peppers and remove the seeds. Cut the peppers and tomatoes into pieces and add them as well, fry everything a little. Add the corn and the chunky tomatoes and cover with a little water. Let everything boil once. Add the pearl barley and season to taste.
