Peking Cabbage and Apple Salad

The peculiarity of this Peking cabbage and apple salad is in the dressing and slicing. Salad ingredients are cut into strips. The dressing is made with sour cream, garlic, nuts and orange juice.

Ingredients

  • Peking cabbage – 300 g
  • Apple – 1 pc.
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Sour cream – 5 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Orange (juice) – 1/2 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Walnuts – 7 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preparing products for salad with Chinese cabbage and apple.
  2. Preparing a dressing. Put sour cream in a bowl, add garlic passed through a press, chopped nuts, squeeze the juice of half an orange.
  3. I add vegetable oil and spices (salt and pepper) to the dressing sauce, mix everything well and set it aside so that the dressing will stand and absorb the taste of the spices.
  4. I cut the Chinese cabbage into thin strips.
  5. I cut the apple in half, peel it and cut it into thin slices. Then I cut the slices into strips, leaving half of the slices intact for decoration. I pour lemon juice on the apples.
  6. Put chopped cabbage in a salad bowl, add half of the chopped apple and dressing. Gently mix everything.
  7. I put the finished salad with apple and cabbage on a dish, decorate the center of the salad with the remaining apple slices in the form of a fan and sprinkle with slices of chopped nuts on top.
  8. Serve salad with Chinese cabbage and apple to the table.
