Ingredients

  • 400 g penne
  • 125 g sucuk
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 bell pepper (s)
  • 3 pointed peppers
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Jalapeños, pickled
  • 350 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. First, cook the penne in salted water according to the instructions on the packet and pour it off on a sieve. Catch a cup of the starchy cooking water and keep it for later.
  2. Peel the sucuk, quarter it lengthways and cut into 0.5 cm thick pieces. Halve the onions lengthways and cut into thin wedges. Finely dice the garlic clove. Cut the jalapenos into small pieces.
  3. Eight the bell peppers and pointed bell peppers lengthways and cut into pieces.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a high pan. Fry the sucuk and onion wedges in it over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes. Add paprika, pointed peppers, jalapenos and garlic. Season everything with oregano, salt and pepper and fry for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and a little pasta water, bring to the boil and heat the pre-cooked penne in the sauce.
