Cook: 2 hour

Servings: 4-5

Ingredients

  • Bulgarian pepper – 8-9 Pieces
  • Rice – 200 Grams
  • Tomatoes – 2 Pieces
  • Paprika – 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Minced meat – 500 grams
  • Onion – 2 Pieces
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 Art. spoons
  • Ground pepper – To taste
  • Water – To taste

Directions

  1. Cut the onion into small cubes and fry until soft and translucent in vegetable oil.
  2. Then add the minced meat to the onion, stir well so that there are no lumps, the minced meat should be crumbly. Fry until the minced meat turns white and starts stewing in its own juice.
  3. Rinse the rice thoroughly a couple of times, and then add to the minced onion. Let the rice warm up and swell.
  4. Peel the tomatoes, peel them off. Grate or chop until pasty. Add to rice with minced meat, season with salt and pepper, season to taste. Pour in a cup of hot water and simmer until the rice absorbs the water. Remove the finished filling from the heat, let it cool.
  5. Wash the peppers, remove seeds and membranes. Stuff with the filling. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  6. Place the peppers in a baking dish. Fill them with water so that it covers them by one third.
  7. Place in the oven for an hour.
  8. I advise you to turn the peppers or the tin from time to time so that they are browned on all sides.
  9. Ready-made peppers stuffed with rice and minced meat can be served with sour cream or tomato sauce.
