Pie with Pears and Cognac

Delicate, fragrant, divine, amazing pie with cognac and pears! Everything can be said in three words: “Yum-yum-yum!” =) And do not spare pears!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 200 g (1.25 cups)
  • Butter (room temperature) – 120 g
  • Granulated sugar – 160 g (0.75 cups)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Cognac – 50 ml
  • Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
  • Ripe pears, large – 2-3 pcs.

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
  2. Beat the softened butter with a mixer until a white creamy state.
  3. Gradually add granulated sugar to the butter and continue beating until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add eggs to the butter mixture one at a time, whisking each time until smooth.
  5. Pour in brandy and stir the mixture until smooth at low speed.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the oil-cognac mixture, bring to homogeneity.
  7. Peel the pears, cut into even, beautiful slices and sprinkle with the juice of half a lemon.
  8. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a mold with a diameter of 22-23 cm with butter and cover with parchment.
  9. Pour the dough into a mold, decorate with pears on top (press the pears a little into the dough).
  10. Bake a pie with pear and cognac at 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Check the readiness of the cake with a wooden stick (toothpick) – it must be dry.
