Instructions

  1. Core and quarter the plums. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the core and cut into slices. Put the plum and apple pieces in a bowl and mix with the sugar, cinnamon and flaked almonds.
  2. For the egg milk, mix the milk, eggs, pudding powder and sugar together well. Dip half of the toasted bread slices into the egg milk on both sides and use them to line a lightly greased casserole dish. If necessary, cut the slices of toast a little! Spread the plum and apple pieces on top. Put the rest of the toast bread slices dipped in egg milk on top. If there is still some egg milk left, distribute it over the pyre.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees top / bottom heat for about 35 minutes.
  4. For the almond crust, melt the butter in a saucepan on the stove. Stir in sugar and flaked almonds. Spread this almond mixture evenly on the pre-baked pyre and bake for another 10 minutes.
  5. Serve with vanilla sauce if you like.
  6. The specified amount is sufficient for 3 - 4 people.
