Polenta Meat Pie or Minced Meat and Corn Porridge Casserole

A very tasty recipe for cooking in the oven at home, casseroles with minced meat in the form of a meat pie, where corn porridge was used for the cakes.
Ingredients
Corn groats – 1 glass
Minced beef – 500-600 g
Canned tomatoes in their own juice – 1 can (400 ml)
Champignons – 300 g
Tomato sauce – 1 glass
Mozzarella cheese – 200 g
Parmesan cheese – 50 g
Stalked celery – 2 stalks
Bulgarian green pepper – 1-2 pcs.
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Garlic – 4 cloves
Chili pepper (flakes) – 1 teaspoon
Dried basil – 1 teaspoon
Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Water – 4 glasses
Salt
Vegetable oil
Sour cream – for serving
Directions
Mix a glass of cornmeal with a teaspoon of salt. Add a glass of water and stir. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Pour in the cornmeal mixture with water. While stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
Pour the resulting polenta or corn porridge into identical baking dishes, having previously greased them with vegetable oil. Put in a cold place for 1.5 hours.
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan, add chili flakes. Then add chopped onions, celery, green peppers and squeeze out the garlic. Stir and fry a little, stirring occasionally.
Add ground beef. Fry until all the minced meat changes color.
Then add the mushrooms cut into slices. Fry until most of the released liquid has evaporated.
Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, basil, oregano, pepper, salt. Stir and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
Place half of the meat sauce on the polenta crust. Sprinkle with half of the grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Top with a second polenta crust.
Lay out the other half of the minced meat. Cover with foil.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake for 35-40 minutes. Then take it out, remove the foil. Sprinkle with the remaining second half of the mozzarella and parmesan. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes.
Allow to cool just a little before serving. It is advisable to add a spoonful of sour cream to the plate.
