Ingredients

  • 500 ml buttermilk (fruit buttermilk lemon flavor)
  • 8 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet custard powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 5 rolls from the day before
  • 2 apples, tart ones
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon powder
  • 4 tablespoon cranberries

Instructions

  1. Mix the buttermilk, 2 tablespoons of sugar and the custard powder until smooth. Cut the rolls into slices and soak in them for 15 minutes. Wash, core and slice the apples. Drizzle with the lemon juice.
  2. Bake the bread rolls in 2 tablespoons of hot clarified butter until crispy. Fry the apple slices in 2 tablespoons of hot clarified butter until golden brown. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar and let it caramelize.
  3. Layer the bread roll and apple slices on top of each other. Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon powder. Serve each portion sprinkled with 1 tablespoon of cranberries and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar.
