Ingredients

  • 100 g cranberry compote
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 2 pinches cinnamon powder
  • 2 medium egg (s)
  • 150 ml milk
  • 0.5 ½ pack vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 8 slices cake (stollen), 40 g each
  • 2 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 4 scoops ice cream (vanilla)

Instructions

  1. Mix the cranberry compote with orange juice and cinnamon in a saucepan, cook for 3-4 minutes and set aside.
  2. Whisk the eggs and milk with the vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt. Then turn the stollen slices several times in the egg milk until they are soaked.
  3. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and fry the stollen slices on both sides over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Take the stollen slices out of the pan, place them briefly on kitchen paper and let them drain.
  4. Arrange the poor knights on plates with vanilla ice cream and cranberry compote and serve.
