Ingredients

  • 350 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 175 g butter
  • 150 ml milk
  • 30 g poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 370 g cherry (s) (sour cherries), from the lass
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Drain the cherries. Peel and core the apple, grate coarsely, drizzle with lemon juice. Melt butter. Sift the flour with baking powder into a sealable bowl, add the sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, melted butter and milk. Close the bowl and shake vigorously for half a minute. Using a mixing spoon, stir in the ingredients that are still dry from the edge. Halve the amount of dough. Stir the grated apple into one half and the poppy seeds into the other half. Pour the apple batter into a wreath dish, place the cherries on top, and the poppy pastry on top.
  2. Bake at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking.
