Ingredients

  • 150 g butter or mararine
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 180 g sour cream
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ schnapps (cherry schnapps)
  • 200 g marzipan (raw mixture)
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 150 grams flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 100 g poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix butter or margarine in a bowl until soft. Then add sugar (if you like it less sweet, take 100 g, this is enough) and egg yolks and keep stirring until the mixture is light. Add sour cream and cherry schnapps (I usually leave it out because of the young team) and mix in. Grate the marzipan mixture with a coarse grater. Mix the egg white with the salt and beat until stiff. Mix the flour and baking powder, add layers with the egg whites to the mixture and fold in carefully. Add the poppy seeds and mix in. Pour the batter into a prepared baking pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 50 minutes.
